Hong Kong Youth Music Festival 2022

Students were learning the basics of conducting under the guidance of Ms. Harty, the Music Director.

Our violin faculty, Mr. Kevin Lau , was working with our students, providing precise and specific guidance to the students during the sectional rehearsals to strengthen their techniques!

Students could listen and feel how their individual parts fit in the orchestra to create a coherent sound

Students mastered different types of rhythic patterns. It was also a chance to encourage teamwork among the players!

Students leart more about proper maintenance of their instruments, such as applying cleansers and using cleaning tools, so that they can keep them in good condition and perform at their best!

Students was able to try out the violins with over 200 years of history from Italy, France and the UK.

The final concert is the accumulation of the students’ hard work over the past five days of coaching and rehearsals. This year, we have selected a variety of repertoires from Baroque to modern movie music, presented by various ensembles that feast on the audience's ears. This made the festival end with a big round of applause!
