NHKP presented award-winning pianist Rachel Cheung’s piano recital featuring the works of two of the greatest composers of the Romantic era, Frédéric Chopin and Franz Liszt.

Baroque Concertos: Bach & Vivaldi

The program comprised of some of the most well-known violin concertos from the Baroque period, including Vivaldi's < Four Seasons >, Telemann's <Viola Concerto>, and Bach's <Violin Concerto in E major> as well as his <Double Violin Concerto in D minor>; bringing the charisma of Baroque music to the audience.
Diego Campagna Guitar Recital

Italian Cultural Institute Hong Kong and NHKP were delighted to invite Diego Campagna and co-organizing the concert. He is known as a charismatic performer famed for his poetic and virtuosic repertoire. He was claimed as "A wonderful world class guitarist" by DAILY VOICE. In May, 2019, he received a Medal of Honor from the USA for his artistic career around the world.


Hungarian Rhapsody

Awarded with “Certificate of Merit'' from the Consulate General of Hungary in Hong Kong and Macao, the Knack Cordial Folk Group is the most prominent Hungarian dance group in Hong Kong. Together with a group of talented musicians, including violinist Vince Chua, pianist Queena Chu, the Cong Quartet and pianist Vanessa Wong, the Knack Cordial Folk Group gave us a feast for the eyes and ears in this wonderful Hungarian Rhapsody!

The woodwind coaches, Ocean Yip (Left 3; Saxophone), Kelvin Chan (Right 3; Flute), and Chan King Wa (Right 2; Clarinet), of the New Hong Kong Philharmonia, performed at Tseun Wan Town Hall. The pieces included Hana Wa Saku (2012) by Yoko Kanno and First of May by Bee Gees to welcome the romance of spring.


Rachel Cheung’s Schumann and Chopin ── Love, Passion, Death

New Hong Kong Philharmonia held its first large-scale concert since the pandemic and invited Van Cliburn's Audience Award winner Rachel Cheung to perform. She performed Kinderszenen Op. 15 and 24 Preludes Op.28 as a soloist. She also collaborated with NHKP coaches to deliver Tarantella in A Minor, Op.6, and Medailles Antiques to our audiences.

Flute Fantasy

New Hong Kong Philharmonia teams held a concert at Hong Kong City Hall and invited experienced solo flutist to perform along with the NHKP Strings team and Coaches. Pieces included the World Premiere of Pandemic Threnody composed by Anthony Hau and Jonathan Cheng, as well as Christmas Concerto by Corelli.
NHKP Debut Concert

New Hong Kong Philharmonia held its first concert at Hong Kong City Hall, Concert Hall, on 28 July 2018. In collaboration with local and mainland artists including Yusi Yang (Violin) and Eric Yip (Cello) from Hong Kong Sinfonietta, the orchestra performed renowned works ranging from Bernstein’s Overture to Candide to the Butterfly Lovers' Violin Concerto. The performance drew overwhelming response from nearly 1,000 members of the audience.
