James Li
Violin
James Li is currently a tutti violinist of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. Li graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, holding a Master degree in Music studies, majoring in violin under the tutelage of Prof. Ivan Chan. Li had his graduation recital and chamber recital both held at the music department of the Shanghai University in 2023. Li has participated in masterclasses with Ning Feng, Jing Wang and Qian Zhou.
Li has been actively participating in chamber and orchestral performances. For Chamber music, Li was the first prize winner in the chamber division of the Hong Kong Generation Next Music Competition in 2022.
Besides joining the Hong Kong Sinfonietta in the season of 2024, He frequently appears as a freelance violinist in the Hong Kong Philharmonic, Opera Hong Kong, City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong, New Hong Kong Philharmonic, In-heritage Philharmonic, Gustav Mahler Orchestra and the Hong Kong String Orchestra.
During his studies in the HKAPA, Li had performed with the music director emeritus of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta Yip Wing-Sie, as the concertmaster of the Academy Symphony Orchestra performing Richard Strauss’ “Don Juan” and “Till Eulenspiegels”.
Li is currently a part-time tutor of the Junior music programme of the HKAPA.
李俊霖現為香港小交響樂團的小提琴樂手，並持有香港演藝學院音樂系的碩士學位，修業期間接受陳浩堂教授的指導。另外， 2023 年時，李氏在上海大學音樂學院舉行畢業獨奏會、室樂交流音樂會。李亦曾師從 Ning Feng、 Jing Wang 、 Qian Zhou。
李氏亦不時參與室內樂團及交響樂團的演出。就室內樂演出，李氏曾於 2022 年，在香港新世代藝術協會音樂節比賽中，獲得室內樂組別第 1 名。此外，他在 2024/25 年樂季，加入香港小交響樂團，並長期在香港管弦樂團、香港歌劇院、香港城市室內樂團、New Hong Kong Philharmonia、傳承愛樂、馬勒樂團、香港弦樂團，擔任特約樂手。
就讀演藝學院期間，李氏曾與香港小交響樂團的桂冠音樂總監葉詠詩共同演出，並在演響交響樂團擔任首席，演奏 Richard Strauss 的《Don Juan》與《Till Eulenspiegels》。
李氏現時為香港演藝學院的青少年音樂課程，擔任兼職導師。
