She is the music director of the NHKP Baroque Chamber Orchestra, which has become Hong Kong's most renowned Baroque music ensemble.

Tam’s dual career as a conductor and double bassist underscores her versatility and dedication to music. Since 2016, she has served as the music director and conductor of the Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra, leading 3-4 performances annually and curating a rich repertoire that spans from classical masterpieces to contemporary pop arrangements.

Her conducting career has taken her to international stages, including collaborations with the Bern Symphony Orchestra in Switzerland, the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Sokola Symphony Orchestra of Brno in the Czech Republic. In 2024, she led the New Hong Kong Philharmonia on a tour in Ravenna, Italy, at the invitation of Emilia Romagna Concerti, and performed in France with musicians from the Divertimento Orchestra in Seine-Saint-Denis,supported by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Educational Trust Fund.
